157.0. "Icelandic Anyone?" by NIEMAN::FERWERDA (Loptson) Thu Oct 23 1986 18:02

I'm looking for someone who can help me translate some brief
biographical sketches on some of my ancestors. The sketches are
from a sort of Who's Who of Iceland and so I need someone who knows
Icelandic. Anyone have any idea where I might find such a person?

    Thanks,
    Paul

I'd love to help you out -- do you have them on-line? Just send
    them via mail...

If I get stuck, I should be able to solicit for help.

Well, I'll have to see if I can find a terminal that will let me
type them in. My VT100 won't support Icelandic letters. I'll see
what I can do and try and type one in today at lunch.

    Thanks,

I'm a member of the Icelandic Canadian Club of British Columbia. In our
efforts to further knowledge of Icelandic, we have produced two tapes
of Introductory Icelandic and are making them available more or less at
our cost. Here is a description of what we offer to anyone interested
in starting to learn Icelandic. Hopefully I'm not offending anyone by
presenting this ad type material but we are making 'no profit' with
    this offering.
