From: Paul R. Niemi ........................................... Maynard, MA, USA

The Finns are noted for stringing multiple words together. The longest
single-word palindrome is reportedly the Finnish word:

    	       SAIPUAKIVIKAUPIAS

Loosly translated: saipua = soap, kivi = stone, kaupias = merchant
Finnish meaning: lye merchant

If you look at the word SAIPUAKAUPIAS, it means the same thing spelled
    backwards or forwards.

You have a little spelling mistakes there. The words should
    	be

    		SAIPPUAKIVIKAUPPIAS
    	and

    		SAIPPUAKAUPPIAS

So both of the finnish palindromes are a even longer.

How about words with many vowels?

    "Hyaie".

I'll leave the translation to someone else.
