If you speak Swedish and live in or near Boston, you should know about
Gult och Bl�tt i Boston
a newsletter for Swedes in Boston. It contains news from Sweden, as well as
goings-on in the New England area. (The contents are almost 100% in Swedish.)

Also, you might be interested in joining the Swedish Dinner table, held twice a
month at Leverett House at Harvard in Cambridge. For more information, feel
free to call Brigitta Dahlgren Knuttgen at (617) 495-2339 (work) or (617)
369-3399 (home). You don't have to be particularly fluent to enjoy the
gathering. The times I've been there, the group has been pretty equally
divided between natives (mostly students), Americans who are studying Swedish,
and people who used to live/work there.
Last December, we put together an impressive Julbord, complete with Tomte and
Princesstorta.

| Even if you don't read Swedish [I don't very well] this newsletter may
be worth the $7. About 10-15% is in English, plus:
o You get the names and contacts of various Scandinavian organizations
in the Boston area - not only the Swedish ones.
o Bakeries and other shops specializing in Scandinavian goods advertise
in this publication - its like having a Scandinavian "yellow pages"
for eastern New England (Boston to Worcester; northern Maine)[in
fact the entire newsletter _is_ colored yellow, with blue printing].
