I've been asked by the instructor of this course at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute to publicize it by putting it in a compilers notes conference.
There doesn't seem to be such an animal, this is the closest I could find.
I can't see anything against it in the guidelines, hope I haven't trod upon
some convention or other. Anyway it may be useful to somebody.
If there's other relevant conferences it could be cross-posted.

A study of modern compiler techniques with emphasis on compiler generators.
Formal, theoretical issues underlying compilers are investigated, concentrating
on those topics which are at the forefront of current compiler technology.
Focus is on the "back end" of compilers. Students will be expected to research
a topic and to attempt an original approach or solution. Background should
include basic knowledge of compiler construction.
