Has anybody heard of a 4GL called CSP? It's supposed to run in IBM
    different environments (MVS/XA, VM/VSE) with a "simple" re-link. Can
it also run on a VAX? What's the advantage of CSP over other 4GL's
    or even traditional languages?

Any background info or a pointer to information would be helpful.

    Thanks,

| Thanks for the pointer. Since writing this note, I have found a few
articles in Trade rags that discuss CSP. FYI, CSP is/was a strategic
language (?) for IBM and SAA. IBM has blessed it, but user acceptance
is falling due in large part to:

    	1. CSP is essentially intepretive in nature.
    	2. Performance is poor.
    	3. CSP currently cannot produce compilable source code, e.g.,
    	    COBOL.

Thanks again for the quick pointer,

    -Jay-
