| Well, for my own edification, which Fairchild Chip?? is it an
INTEL 8080/8086 etc. look-alike??
The only help that I can offer is possibly by suggesting that
you consider using VAX Scan for the conversion. In it's simplest
form, you tell it (SCAN) to trigger on 'SEARCH Strings' and, in
response, ANSWER with what you want into the output file.
Syntax can be a little strange, but I'm told that it one is familiar
with Pascal, life is a lot easier when dealing with the SIN-tax...
Sorry that I can't be of more help, but it's a start...
Best of Luck!

If the revenue is in other areas, apart from charging for doing the
job itself, then I do know people who might be able to do such a
job for you, mail me for info.
Only thing I will say, if you're planning to develop a cross-compiler
from C to some - any ! - assembler, allow yourself at least a week
to complete the job. *8=).
I've worked on much simpler translation jobs than this and spent
in excess of 14 weeks of 11 hour days to do a half-reasonable job.
You can make it easier on yourself by using the likes of lex & yacc,
or QCAD's system depending on your planned environment.
My advice: if you can avoid it, do. If you can't, estimate the time
it might take and square it (0.5 * *8-) )
