140.0. "Simulation Language Wanted." by HALLEY::MUNROE () Thu May 21 1987 10:33

Does anyone know of a simulation language (like GPSS or CSMP) available
within DEC (hopefully over the net). I need to be able to plug
other languages into the simulation, so keep that in mind. If
necessary, does anybody know of simulation subroutines (there used
to be a DECUS Fortran product, but the name escapes me) so that I
    can develop the simulator myself.

Pointers, order information, network addresses, etc. are all
    appreciated.

A notesfile on Simulation started recently, that would give you
a place to start. Press KP7 to add this conference to your notebook.

I am not aware of any DEC simulation language products. I have used a
Scandinavian SIMULA compiler on a 780. This product was the best
excuse for a VAX Cluster System 8978 that I've come across though!

MCC has a language called CSIM, which is a simulation package layered
onto C. Since DEC is a member of MCC, it should be available
    internally.

Sending mail to RDVAX::MCC is the best way to request specific items.
In order to discover exactly what the appropriate order number to use, use
VTX under "Technology Development Programs". CSIM came from the Parallel
Processing Program a year or so ago.
