1262.0. "Visual Fortran for Intel/NT shipping yet?" by HYDRA::CHIN () Wed Apr 16 1997 12:35

   Hi,

I thought the visual fortran/intel nt should be shipping by now.
A partner of mine is told by some distributors today that there would be
30-45 days wait. What is the exact shipping date? Does any one
   get the VF/Intel kit yet?

We only control the production of the kits, not the
final availability dates. As far as I know, the kits
are being manufactured now, and should begin to get sent
to distributors later this week or next week. However,
the distributors then need to get the kits to the retail
outlets, who sell them to customers. I don't know how
long this will take, but it will probably differ among
different distributors and retailers. It could be only
a few weeks, but might be more in some places.

    Cheers!

SSB says that kits will ship from manufacturing on Friday the 18th. Expect
a week or so after that for the retail pipeline to be filled.

Can you supply the part #'s for this. There doesn't seem to be a SPD
    or Sales Update.

Hey, it's a PC product - PC products don't have SPDs. And since this isn't
being sold by our sales force directly, I guess there was no need seen for
a Sales Update article.
