OpenVMS Alpha V6.1, A3300 DEC Fortran V7.0-6 compiler installed While trying to install the patch FORRTLAVE01070 with PCSI the customer gets the following error: %PCSI-E-REFUNA, Product DEC AXPVMS FORRTL V7.0-1 is required by DEC AXPVMS Fortran V7.0-1... The customer uses the following command: $ PRODUCT INSTALL FORRTL/SOURCE='[location of the .PCSI file]' What does it mean ? Thanks for help. Jean-Pierre

It's a bug in PCSI, complaining that it doesn't want to remove the "old version" of FORRTL because FORTRAN wants it, even though it is about to install a newer version. The customer should tell PCSI to go ahead anyway. I think this was fixed in VMS 7.0. Steve |
