887.0. "More input on the GUI" by ADA9X::BRETT () Fri Mar 14 1997 11:44
Shi-Jung Kao, one of the C/C++ team members, has the following observations
about the gui...
. Please make the display of "Process","thread","call stack" and all
the buttons as small as possible. Now, it almost occupies 1/3 of
the dxladebug window. e.g. if you can not put the "process","thread"
and "call stack" into one line, then make it smaller. Whatever you
do, make the source and working windows bigger helps.
. Please make the font change works. I have followed decladebug's note
and tried to change my font and to make the windows display more
sources. It never works, finally I gaveup.
I think what I really want is a real windows
environment. It allows user to enlarge the windows and overtake some
other windows too. i.e. I might don't want to see the caption, the
process, the thread, the call stack and etc...
The two bulleted items echo earlier concerns.
I must confess, I thought ladebug had changed the font to be a plausible
size. If that is not the case, it should be done for the next release
as a 'Fix Immediately' item.
Other ergonomics notes have commented about the waste of space in the window.
