821.0. "Can't quit dxladebug by typing "quit" if no program is loaded" by CXXC::MJHANS (Matthew Hanselman, DEC C) Mon Feb 10 1997 14:49

dxladebug 4.0-30:

If you simply launch dxladebug without loading a program, the only way to exit
is by selecting File->Exit Debugger. Typing "quit" gives this error message:

Use the $ load command or Run New Program ... dialog box to load a program
before issuing commands

This is a known problem. The error was reported because there is no
engine running there. We are working on having a running engine
at all time right now. This problem will be fixed as part of that
work.

Just fyi, there are quite a few problems and restrictions when
the user starts the gui without any binary name. It's very troublesome.
That is why we want to eliminate that state as a whole.

Thanks for reporting this problem.
