    Hi,

    Any chance of getting a 'faster' fix for this problem ?
    Otherwise the customers will have to downgrade. I assume that our
    little example below compiled CC /DEBUG on AlphaVMS V6.2 using
    DEC C V5.5-002 is the same problem as in earlier replies.

	#include stdio
	#include pthread
	main ()
	{
	printf("\nMessage added OK");
	}

1225.10CC V5.6 for customer?CSC32::D_SANFORDThu Mar 06 1997 20:2910
    I have a customer with the same problem, CC/DEBUG ACCVIO, he will
    not downgrade and is insisting on getting CC V5.6 even if he must
    become a test site.

    Is this possible? Any other way, possibly revenue, to get him the
    latest release?

Has any progress been made on this? This is really a nasty problem and
is impacting a lot of customers.

If a fix isn't forthcoming soon, can we at least pull v5.5 and
quit shipping it on the cdrom distribution?.

Thanks,

Jerry

The kit and paperwork should be available for CSC review today.
Exactly how long it takes to get into TIMA after that is something
we don't really know.

Your kits have been inserted into CSERL and loaded into TIMA. It may
take up to 24 hours before it becomes visible to the world. The DEC
STD_204 support process is complete.

I've been asked if the kit is available in the public patches area.
The following is all I know about it - perhaps somebody from the field
more familiar with TIMA can answer the questions here that have so
far been unanswered:

Hi,
  I have been trying to contact Robert Saunders. His voice-mail message
does not include the area code and his elf listing does not include a
node name.

   Could you please foreward this to him:

  We submitted an ECO CC01055 that we are unable to access. If we go
through the heirarchy structure in a logical manner, the kit is NOT there.

If we search (and we need an account to do this) it is able to locate the
the kit.

  What follows is our endeavors.

      VAX C and DEC C++ (gee, no mention of DEC C, just VAX C)

But if we search the listings:

.14: I've been asked if the kit is available in the public patches area.

   Ayup, it's available.

   A COMET search for CC01055 shows the ECO kit is available.
	(http://comet.alf.dec.com/)

   A search of the Internet-accessable ECO area also shows the
   ECO kit is available via the Internet, as well.

It is available on the internet via the www.service.digital.com
page to Contract Access customers only. This because of rules regarding
full kits being made available to non-contract customers (lawyer types
say no). The kit has been released to TIMA as well.
