2115.0. "ECO Kit to be made TIMA-available?" by CSC32::HENNING (A rose with no thorns) Mon Mar 10 1997 14:37

    Hi all,

Will the ECO kit cited in note 3.44 be submitted through DEC Standard
204, so it can be made generally available to customers through TIMA
(ie. available via DSNlink and the Internet Web site)?

Interested customers would like to know!

    Thanks,
    Mary

We had some contention with T5.6 preparation, but we should be submitting
the V5.5 ECO kit to TIMA very soon.

Any update on this?

I just spoke to a customer who claims that someone from vms engineering
said that the kit is available, and that customers should contact the
csc for this kit. Problem is, we don't have it yet, and have to tell
customers that it's not yet available.

That was posted in comp.os.vms (the "contact CSC" issue).

   That someone was probably me.

OK - we're confused. Will someone from DEC C Engineering jump in to
    clear this up?

Will the ECO kit cited in note 3.44 be submitted through DEC Standard
204, so it can be made generally available to customers through TIMA
(ie. available via DSNlink and the Internet Web site)? We know that
the kit is internally available, but the pthread/compiler problem is
common enough to warrant preparation of a formal ECO kit that can be
made generally available via DSN ITS and the Internet FTP web site.

    Thanks much for your help,
    Mary

The kit and paperwork should be available for CSC review today.
Exactly how long it takes to get into TIMA after that is something
we don't really know.
