DMW 1.3A-3 on AlphaVMS 6.2-1H3


Has anyone come across this problem. My ICF#39 upgrade on a 
similar-but-almost-idle system didn't have this error.
Note a number of 'strange' errors happened almost immediately after upgrade, 
and probably no connected clients, i.e. at 20:46
Shall try to find out more on users mail setup, as reported many years ago in 
note 537, but the current errors were not so indicative.

I installed patch ICF#39 but was getting errors in MUAS$EVL_ERROR.LOG (extract
below). Errors persisted even after I rebooted the system. Because of these
errors, I have removed the patch and wait on your response.

    It appears that the savesets built for ICF39 contain a bad
    X400$SSI_SHARE.EXE for the Alpha saveset. 
    You can use the alpha version of X400$SSI_SHARE.EXE from ICF38 
    (A1MAIL_FIX038013_ALPHA.BCK) as the images should be identical.
    The only addition in ICF39 is the new MRAXP...exe images. However, all
    images were rebuilt as part of the patch build procedure.

    We'll work on supplying a new kit as soon as we fixed the 'bad' image.

    This problem only affects the Alpha kit the VAX kit is fine.
    
    It seems to have been caused by a VMS upgrade on the system that builds
    these patches and subsequently may onnly appear on certain VMS
    versions.
    
    A new kit has been built and is currently being tested.  An
    announcemenmt will be made here when the kit is ready for release.

    Please mail me (with a location of where to copy it to) to recieve the kit.
                       
    To find out if a system has the 'new' ICF39 installed look at the date
    of the X400$SSI_SHARE.EXE image.  This is the only image that has
    changed and it's date should be 30-APR-1997  and NOT 3-APR-1997.
