Hi I have a customer using Mailworks for OpenVMS, Teamlinks, Mailbus 400 MTA, and Mailbus 400 Message Router Gateway . An NT firewall is being installed and the user would like to pass mail from the firewall to the user's individual Mailworks account and then subsequently read by using Teamlinks. I believe that I will be able to set up Mailworks to use the SMTP functions of TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS such that mail coming in to the firewall can be relayed/forwarded/whatever to the Mailwork drawers. My questions are: 1) Does the documentation really state that I can do what I have outlined above? 2) If the user account name is MDL under Mailworks, can I have the external address be MLAY@domain-name. 3) If I use forwarding to get MLAY@domain-name to MDL@domain-name will the originators address be maintained? Can it be maintained somehow? ANy and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tim Garrett [email protected]

I hope I did understand your problem correctly, but as far as I know I would suggest you to sell your customer a gateway called PMDF by Innosoft. You may find all infos on http://www.innosoft.com. Ciao, paola |
