Hi,
A customer is using DMW on VAX/VMS.
DMW is used only with DCL procedures to send mails to MR
and MRX.
Example of DCl procedure:
$a1mail
sen <file>
userx
subject line
exit
$
The customer would like to move to an AXP/VMS machine.
with MAILBUS 400
To be connected to MAILBUS 400 on an AXP/VMS machine the *future*
Office server will be required.
Q1: Will the Office server on AXp/VMS be able to 'process'
DCL procedure ?
Q2: If YES, do we have a time frame of the availability of this product?
Q3: If NO, Any suggested migration path ?
XAPI could be an idea, but it's quit a lot of work just to send a
file in a 'antomatic/batch' mode.
BTW : Do we have a Digital Officee Server notes conference ?
Thnaks in advance
Raymond

Hi Raymond, The Office Server is discussed in the IOSG::ALL-IN-1 conference. My guess is that the customer would have to change their command procedures to use something much more like the ALL-IN-1 script language. If the procedures are as simple as the one you show, this should not be difficult. But that's just a guess! Grahame | |||||
