200.0. "ACCVIO w BASIC V1.2 on Alpha V7.1, BASIC$STARLET.TLB" by CSC32::D_SANFORD () Wed Feb 05 1997 17:37
OpenVMS Alpha V7.1
DEC BASIC V1.2
Installation of DEC BASIC fails with an ACCVIO when selecting to
install the OpenVMS AXP system definitions. The only workaround
is to copy BASIC$STARLET.TLB from another system. This same
version of BASIC installs with OpenVMS Alpha V7.0 or earlier.
* Do you want to install the OpenVMS AXP system definitions (10 min.) [NO]? y
Sample log of failure included below. If I find this is an OpenVMS
problem I will raise this problem in the appropriate place.

200.1 | ALPHA_SDLNPARSE.EXE ACCVIO on module CLI$ROUTINES.sdi | CSC32::D_SANFORD | | Wed Feb 05 1997 17:57 | 83 |
| The problem is with SDL (image ALPHA_SDLNPARSE.EXE) which is included
in this kit; therefore BASIC engineering needs to address this.
The ACCVIO is the result of using SDL to process module:
CLI$ROUTINES.sdi

200.2 | On our bug list | TLE::HAYNES | | Thu Feb 06 1997 07:49 | 8 |
| Drew,
Thanks for pointing this out, I've put it on our bug list.
We've had some other problems with SDL which we hope to fix
with a TIMA kit. It's tough finding these when the latest
system we have to test on is OpenVMS V6.2.
