4041.0. "Cereal: Low-salt version of Cheerios?" by TOOK::MORRISON (Bob M. LKG1-3/A11 226-7570) Mon Apr 24 1995 16:47

  Has anyone heard of a low-salt version of Cheerios?
  Here is the problem: I dislike sugary cereals, and that rules about 2/3 of
the cereals on the market. I have also found that many cereals give me gas.
I like Cheerios, but both they and the generic versions (which probably come
from the same source) are too salty for me.
  My favorite cereal is Erewhon crispy rice, which is like Rice Krispies but
without the salt or vitamins (which I dislike because I get all the artificial
vitamins I need from pills). This is the only cereal my local health food store
carries. My question is, is there a low-salt version of Cheerios on the market?
I am willing to get it my mail-order if necessary. (I also would consider
buying Erewhon crispy rice by mail if I can get it in bulk; I use 1 1/2 boxes a
week.)
