    This weekend I tried something I had never tasted before and I just had
    to share the recipe.......BREAKFAST LASAGNA!  This is great to serve if
    you are having a lot of people for breakfast or brunch.
    
    	LASAGNA:
    
    	Layer 9 x 13" baking dish with 6 slices of French toast
    	Then add a layer of sliced boiled ham
    	Then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese
    	Then another layer (6 slices) French Toast
    	Then spread apple pie filling
    	Then sprinkle Oatmeal on top
    
        Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
    
    	SAUCE:
    
    	Mix together 1 Cup Sour Cream to l/2 cup brown sugar
    	Serve over warm lasagna

	You cook bread that has been soaked in a milk/egg mixture to create french toastin butter. Or use whatever recipe you have for making french toast. Or buy eggo frozen french toast, even. You do not need to fry the french toast to make it browner before using it in the recipe, good french toast should be brown enough.

	re: 3874.2 Yes, you make the French Toast first before making the lasagna.... The one I tasted had the frozen french toast and it was just as good and a lot quicker to prepare.

	We always make our french toast in a HUGE batch so that we have some in the freezer at any time. My toddler loves it. Maybe we'll try this.....(sounds good!) Monica

	Freezing french toast?! What a concept!! What do you do with it when you want to eat it? Pop it in the toaster straight from the freezer? nuke it? Nuke then toast? D!

	you can choose what method best suits you for reheating the french toast, I prefer a little microwaving to thaw, then toasting to bring back the crispness. (We have a toaster oven and that makes it very easy). You can also do this for most types of pancakes and crepes. Monica

	Strange, I live in France and have never heard of French Toast. I assume it's bread dipped in beaten egg and fried ? But then the french don't have Garlic bread either. :-(

	They had my favorite "typical french meal" including: fronch toast fronch fries fronch dressing and peru (perrier water)
