Would anyone have a recipe for the Hazelnut Jam
("confiture de noisettes or "confit de noisettes" in french).
I could find some (already made) in France but now that I
live in the States I guess I will have to make my own.
My husband and I could not find any recipe and instead tried
several things but it never tastes like it !
...
help Anyone ?

Are we talking Nutella?
If not, a lot of health food stores carry various versions of
nut butters; peanut, hazelnut, almond, cashew, mixed, etc.
Try there if you can't find a good recette!

Not Nutella.
Must be hazelnut + sugar + water...but cooked in what order
and for how long ?? maybe glucose syrup instead of sugar ?
My husband and myself tried many different things, but simply could
not make it taste like the one we bought in France !.
I did not find any health food around Atlanta selling
what I am looking for.
I found the butters you are talking about but those are very
greasy and contain no sugar...

Rep .0, .2 Catherine I haven't seen any confiture de noisettes in this country. What have you tried so far??? I only remember having it one time when I lived in France and don't really remember the taste. -mike | |||||
