3779.1 | An idea maybe?? | EMDS::KENNEDY | | Thu Apr 08 1993 11:58 | 12 |
| You could try to make your own recipe with some of the ingredients you
listed. I made a casserole with noodles, 1 bag of frozen oriental vege
mix like broccoli, Red Peppers, onion and mushrroms, 1 can of either
cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup, some mozzerella cheese and
sour cream. I can't remember the quantity but I think I used the whole
container of sour cream. I also added black olives sliced and artichoke
hearts choped coarsley. Top with paprika for looks. if it's to thick
add some milk. I used Bow noodles.
Hope this helps, and sorry there are no amounts!

A noodle casserole, to me anyways, is similar to macaroni and cheese so
you might want to do a directory/title=mac or maybe even a keyword of
pasta. In any case, all you have to do is make the usual white sauce
with a roux, add a bit of mustard, hot pepper and lots cheese. As
Regina said, sour cream is also good. Another variation is to use a
hollandaise sauce and add some broccoli however I think you mentioned
keeping it plain. I would definately mix together some garlic, butter
and bread crumbs and add to the top. Broil a bit before coming out and
it gives a nice crust.
I believe I have a book w/the hollandaise sauce and I will bring it in
tomorrow for reference.

3779.3 | NOODLE SIDE DISH | POBOX::VOSSS | | Thu Apr 08 1993 18:18 | 12 |
| I have a casserole recipe that is usually a main dish but you could
drop the meat and still have a tasty dish.
16 oz egg noodles
8 oz sour cream
8 oz cottage cheese
any spices to taste.
Just boil the egg noodles until done and add the sour cream and cc over
low heat until mixed smooth. The remainder of this recipie is 1 lb
ground beef 8 oz tomato sauce, layer in dish and bake at 350 for 20
min.

3779.4 | another sauce | KAOFS::M_BARNEY | Formerly Ms.Fett | Wed Apr 14 1993 12:15 | 10 |
| I used a can of cheddar cheese soup the other day mixed in
some sherry and paprika and used noodles, a can of tuna and
some thawed frozen peas. The topping was a little more time
consuming, but its my favourite:
put some butter (non salted) some breadcrumbs and some sugar into
a frying pan (non-stick is best) and fry them together until the
crumbs go brown. This makes a great topping for any casserole!

3779.5 | Tuna Noodle Casserole | KEPNUT::DBROWN | | Tue May 18 1993 16:54 | 12 |
| This is an easy recipe to. Tuna Noodle Casserole
1lb. box of egg noodles
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of tuna
Mix the soup and tuna with 1 can of milk (use the soup can)
Mix everything together and add salt and pepper to taste and put
breadcrumbs on the top and put in over till the crumbs brown.
I sometimes mix a can a string beans and put mozzarella cheese on the
top and then the breadcrumbs. THat's excellent to.

3779.6 | Baked Tuna and Macaroni | GIDDAY::CRISOLOGO | | Thu Apr 20 1995 19:26 | 10 |
| I searched this conference not extensively though for baked tuna and macaroni
recipe - none found. Only saw macaroni and cheese and tuna salads.
Can we have varied inputs of this recipe. I happened to had some baked tuna
and macaroni yesterday from a cafe and would like to cook some at home but
don't know how. I know for sure I need tuna and macaroni and onions. But what
makes up for the dried sauce ???
Thanks,
Arlene

| I can only guess at a recipe. 3779.5 "Tuna Noodle Casserole"
might be close. You want onions? Use an onion soup instead
of mushroom.
