I got a Black & Decker vegetable steamer for Christmas and have
not used it yet. Now that I'd like to use it I can't find the
instructions. Does anyone have a steamer that can tell me
how much water to add and what temperature I should turn this
up to.
Thanks

For the steamer I have, I use:
Add as much water as possible without coming up to the food storage
level.
Since the pot isn't sealed, a la a pressure cooker, I figure it stays
at 212F., the temperature at which the water boils. I therefore
turn the heat down (gas) so that it's just boiling, not vigorously
boiling away all the water.

Does anyone care to share the pros/cons on the brand of
steamer that they may have. Seems like there are quite a few on the
market today. And hows the quality of the finish product.
