    Problem Dill Pickles
    
    I have a question about cold pack dill pickles that don't seal
    properly.
    
    The recipie I use says to sterilize the jars and lids, and the contents
    are added cold.  The jars are then turned upside down for 6 weeks
    before you can eat them.  I did 1/2 a bushel the other day and they 
    sealed great, last night however I did the other half and not one of
    the 17 jars sealed right.
    
    My quetion,  can I put these jars into a water bath and seal them this
    way?  The jars are full to about 1/4" from the top.
    
    If anybody has any answers I's be very greatfull, as I'm a novice
    pickler!
