Hi Ellie. Bombay Mahal soon? According to the meat department at
Purity, a spoon roast is a boneless N.Y. sirloin roast, which is
supposedly so tender that you could cut with a you-know-what.
See ya 'round the quadrangle,
Di

| Hi -- yeah, I was thinking about Bombay Mahal maybe next week. 8^)
So tender you can eat it with a spoon, huh? Do knife sharpeners work
on spoons? (Well, *maybe* I'm too cynical....)

| The day I see *any* piece of beef in a MA supermarket that's "so tender
you can cut it with <whatever>", you'll see me jumping and screaming
for joy in downtown Maynard at noon. But don't hold your breath.
Reminds me of a guarantee I saw in a supermarket: "if you're not
satisfied with our beef for any reason, we'll refund your money". Do
you suppose they'd give me my money back if I returned it saying it was
tough and tasteless? In this part of the world, that'd be like trying
to return a gallon of water because it's too wet.

Piece of cake. Take the NY sirloin and put it in a pan with beef broth.
Simmer for three hours. You can then use a spoon to "cut" it. :-)
So, what day are you going to be in Maynard? :-)

| Nyuk, nyuk. Always a wise guy. How long did you say it has to cook?
