3325.0. "Office Thanksgiving Potluck?" by WR1FOR::MEYERS_NA () Wed Nov 13 1991 19:32

    Hi,

I need some suggestions for what to bring as main dishes or desserts
    for our office Thanksgiving Potluck.

What were a "smash" at your Potlucks? I'm looking for delicious,
not-too-complicated dishes that are not too much of a hassle to bring
into the office (something like casseroles)? I always make italian
dishes so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you know of some great desserts for Thanksgiving that would
    be appreciated too!

    Thanks!

    Nancy,

There is a recipe in the file for Chicken Enchilada Casserole that
practically vaporized when I served it at a party. It isn't difficult
    either.

Some of the dishes that I make for potluck suppers are kielbasa in
sweet sauce(this can be cooked in a crockpot), chili (crockpot),chicken
wings, sweet sauce meetballs, eggplant rolls.

For desserts I have brought fruit triffle, choc kahlua triffe, turtle
cake, rum cake, choc or white cherry cake, choc ricotta cake, lemon
cream cheese cookies, pizelles, kahlua brownies, apple cranberry crisp.

There are more just can't think of them all. Let me know if you want
    any of the recipes.

re: .2

I would LOVE your recipe for kielbasa in sweet sauce! We are beginning to plan
our office holiday party, and this would be ideal.

Thanks!

There are several recipes for kielbasa in sauce in this file already.
Please post your recipe in one of those, not here.

I know it is a little late but I finally remembered the kielbasa
hors d'oeuvers recipe. It is in note 3035.25. There are lots of
other interesting recipes in there too. I have tripled this recipe
for parties. If your looking for large quanities of kielbasa BJ's
wholesale club has the best price. I think it is 3 lbs for $5.80.
