From the "Joy of Cooking" (I've never made this)

    Combine in a saucepan:
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
       1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
         1/8 teaspoon salt
    Stir in:
1 cup fresh cider or beer
1/4 cup raisins, cut in halves
Put in a cheesecloth bag and hang it in the cooking sauce from the edge
    of the pan:
        8 whole cloves
        1 two-inch stick cinnamon
Cook and stir for about 10 inuts. Add:
        1 tablespoon butter
Remove the spices. Serve the sauce very hot.

If you had done a DIR/TIT=Raisin you would not have found your
recipes, but had you gone just a few steps further to DIR/TIT=Ham
you would have found 3 recipes in 717 and 1215.

I have found a real easy way to get raisin sauce without going
through the hastle of many ingredients and directions. Just heat
canned raisin pie filling in a sauce pan and voila!
