    appx 40 people (some children). our menu consists of:

    cake
    crabmeat salad & crackers
    chips and cheese dip
    various fruit with dip
    cocktail weiners
    spinach dip and crackers
    drinks

    we need some other type of "nibble" appetizer...
    preferably something that does not have to be refrigerated...
    all suggestions will be appreciated

3280.1Yum,Yum, cold cut rings!!ROULET::SHEEHANFri Oct 25 1991 12:1611
                        COLD CUT RINGS
    These are pretty quick and delicious. Buy the frozen bread dough,
    Go by the directions on the package, basically, put frozen loaves
    in refrig the night before, take out in the morning. Let rise for
    a couple of hours. Roll dough out in like a long rectangle shape
    stretching all the time. Layer down in rows, salami, then ham, then
    a row of swiss cheese. (Those are my favorites.) You can substitue
    almost anything. Be carful not to use too much cheese. Roll from the
    bottom up pretty tight and then turn into a ring shape. Pre-heat oven
    for 350 and bake on cookie sheet for about 45 mins. Any questions
    call me at 225-4519 Paula Sheehan.
3280.2Ideas for partyMEMIT::KELSEYFri Oct 25 1991 12:1622
    What is the date of your party? I have some ideas but I do not have
    the complete recipes with me now. If any interest you I can write
    what I know and bring the rest of the recipes in on monday.

    You said nothing to be refrigerated:

    Calzone - cut into finger size pieces
    Marinated Mushroom (can add artichokes)
    Italian or Swedish Meatballs
    Kielbaska (?)
    Chicken Wings
    Taco Dip
    Mini Egg Rolls
    Sausage with pepper and onions
    Dips made inside bread - spinach or vegetable

    There are also some ideas in notes 188, 930, 1044, 1250, 2937

    That's all I can remember at the moment.
