3146.0. "Ice Cream Glasses" by KIRK::MIKELIS (Construction means Destruction) Fri Jul 19 1991 10:36

Hi,

I need to locate tulip shaped ice cream sundae glasses, you know, the
old-fashioned, ice cream parlor type, by tomorrow. They are for a gift
with ice cream as the theme. I cannot seem to locate them anywhere. I
must of stopped at every Christmas tree shop at the Cape last weekend
but to no avail. Lechemere's and Letcher's also does not carry them.
I thought these were common.

Thanks.

I don't know if there's a Conran's near Marlboro, but the one in
Cambridge has them today.

I see them all the time at the supermarket (I shop at Star Market in
Franklin). They are in the ice cream section.

RE: all

Thanks to everyone who replied to me. My wife ended up finding the glasses
at a liquor store in Westboro, of all places. I checked the Star Markets
in Shrewsbury and Northboro but no luck. It's unbelievable how difficult
it is to find those things. We tried 9 different stores. The wedding gift
consisted of a Donvier Ice Cream maker, a hardcover book on Ice Cream, 4 of
the above mentioned glasses and a very nice mechanical ice cream scoop.
I would of loved getting a gift like that, however it didn't seem to make
much of an impression on the bride....sigh. Next time i'll give money.
