                        Recipe For Sausage Balls

Does anyone have a recipe for sausage balls. I have looked and do not
see anything unless I'm overlooking it.

My mother makes a wonderful little tidbit she calls sausage cheese balls...
is this what you want?

			SAUSAGE CHEESE BALLS

2 pounds ground sausage meat of your choice - lean and mean
2 cups grated cheddar cheese (or substitute the
cheese flavor of your choice) - low fat preferred
2 cups fresh whole wheat bread crumbs - whirl bread slices
in blender or food processor until crumbs happen
enough water or broth to moisten if necessary

WASH AND RINSE YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY....mix sausage, crumbs, and cheese
with your hands...mix as thoroughly as possible, adding only enough broth
or water to moisten enough to make the mixture manageable. Form into
small meatball shaped things. Place on roasting pan and roast in a very
hot oven (475 degrees) until nicely browned. Cut one in half and make sure
that all pink is gone from the meat (most suasage is pork, you know).
Time to done should be approx. 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels and
serve with toast or pancakes for breakfast...or drop a couple into a pita
pocket with lettuce/tomato/pickles/mustard for a sandwich on the run.

may not be your recipe, but very nice for a treat...they freeze forever
if wrapped carefully..
