3096.0. "CRAFTS: Dough Baskets" by WLDWST::L_MARTINEZ (IS IT WEDNESDAY YET????) Mon Jun 24 1991 15:07

I am looking for a recipe for the dough in which to make baskets? I had
a book on different crafts that could be made from the basic dough
recipe but I can't seem to find it at home. Can anyone help me out on
    this????

    Thanks,
    Le Ann

Try note 53.1 in the crafts note file. I have been making dough
ornaments and baskets lately, so if you have any questions, let me
know. I went to the library and did lots of research on this, they are
    a lot of fun!

    Hi Jennifer,

Could you give me some brief instructions on how to form the baskets
or maybe the name of a good book I could get to help me out?

3096.4Easy as pie (lattice that is)KYOA::SHAINBy the time I get to Phoenix . . .Wed Jun 26 1991 17:169
You make the regular dough recipe, but roll the dough out and cut it
into strips and put make a lattice (like a pie) on an inverted bowl.
They suggest that you wrap the bowl or whatever with foil and put a
little bit of water at each cross of the dough.

Let me know where you are and I'll send you copies of what I've got.
Do you just want the basket info or would you like ornament info too?
