From Fran's Front Porch in Liberty, North Carolina... I haven't used this recipe, but I've had Fran's Red Velvet Cake and it's good. Red Velvet Cake 1-1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 cup oil 2 cups flour 1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon cocoa 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons red food coloring Beat eggs with sugar; add oil and vinegar. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk. Bake in 3 9-inch pans at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes. Ice with creamed(sic) cheese filling. Steve | |||||
