3041.0. "Equipment: Hot Tray Cart" by TRADE::PHILPOT () Thu May 16 1991 16:20
I'm trying to locate a piece of cooking-related equipment, and
was wondering if anybody out there could help me.
I'm trying to find a hot tray (the kind you plug in and you put
serving dishes on and it keeps the hot food hot). My problem is that
all the ones I've seen are table-top models, and that's not what I
want. My mom has one that pretty old, but it's kind of on a
cart, on wheels, and has a shelf underneath. It's about as high as
a table.
My sister's getting married, and my mom wants to get her one as a
wedding present. I've looked in places like Lechmere, Bradlees,
Jordan Marsh, Penney's, Service Merchandise, etc., with no luck.
Help!
Thanks,
Lynne

| Well, it would help if we knew what country you were in and what type
of price range you were looking at. Have you tried the restaurant
suppliers in the yellow pages that are local to your area? Places such
as Taylor Rental may have something similar - you could ask them where
they purchased theirs. Other suggestions would be to call a caterer or
two, or maybe a banquet manager of a nearby hotel?
I can recommend two restaurant suppliers in NH, one in Bow and the
other in Portsmouth, if that will assist you.

| There are also at least two restaurant suppliers in Manchester,NH, and
they both do retail: Interstate and Granite State.

| I think what you are looking for is a Salton Hot Tray and they did have
one in the style of a tea cart. I haven't seen those for a long time
however. But that's the brand name.
