Ha. I entered this same question in the QUARK::COFFEE conference
and was told that it's available at the Burlington Mall -
specifically at Alpen Pantry. Haven't been yet, so I can't confirm
that - sorry.

| I entered a note awhile back looking for the same stuff, and one reply stated
that it could be found at Boston's North End Deli in Nashua. I don't know if
it's in your area, but if so, then you might want to check it out. I still
haven't made the recipe that I had wanted it for, so I can't verify for certain
that its there.

2917.4 | Use Regular (or Decaf) Instant Coffee | CSG002::WEINSTEIN | Barbara Weinstein | Fri Feb 22 1991 12:03 | 6 |
| For years I have been making recipes that call for instant expresso powder,
and I have always substituted regular instant coffee. In fact, that's the only
time I ever use instant coffee. The one thing I do first, however, is to
put the coffee in between 2 sheets of waxed paper and rub it with the back of
a spoon to make it into powder. I doubt that anyone would detect a
difference.

Hi Barb. I wonder, I wonder.
Bought some last night at Alpen Pantry. They said they've been
having a run on it recently. They think it's due to a recipe
in "Food and Wine" that calls for it.

2917.6 | Real Esspresso Powder | FLOWER::DUNNING | | Wed Apr 17 1991 16:04 | 13 |
| For what it's worth.......
I grind my own Esspresso/Coffee......powder fine.
Many years ago I discovered that the blade attachment on the bottom
of a Hamilton Beach blender can be removed and fits perfectly on
the narrow mouth Ball Canning Jars.
I use the small Jelly Jars for grinding coffee.
Simply remove the collar, rubber gasket and blade from your blender
container fill a ball jelly jar with whole espresso or coffee beans
and put the blade, gasket, and retaining collar on the ball jar and
grind away...........great esspresso and coffee.....be careful though
when you grind the beans that fine "A little goes a long way".
