| Check w/ Incredible Eatables in Wilton. They make the bread for Hannah
Jacks! I don't know if they'd give you the recipe, but it's worth a
try. If not - you can always buy it there or at Hannahs.
Good luck,
Sonia

| Slight correction -- the bakery is Incredible Edibles, and it's located
in Milford (just about on the Milford/Wilton town line).
Phone (603) 672-0888. There is also a phone listing for Incredible
Edibles Wholesale (603)595-0645 (Amherst, NH) but I'd start with the
bakey first.
Good luck!

That's right you can buy it at Hannah Jack's. It sells for $4.00 for
two loaves (you have to buy two). It makes the BEST french toast.

| You can also buy loaves of it at the Brookline Village Store, Rte. 130 (Center of
Town) in Brookline. last time I bought it, it was about $1.89 a loaf. There are
also some other excllent breads made by the same bakery there also.

| for anyone interested it is Briosche bread. I used to work at Jack's
when I was a kid. Now maybe you can find it in a book.

2685.6 | no luck at the bakery | CTHQ3::SANDSTROM | born of the stars | Fri Apr 17 1992 09:09 | 8 |
| MMmm, my favorite bread. I looked in a couple of bread books I
have at home and didn't seen anything remotely like the stuff at
Hannah Jack's. I called the bakery and got a clerk (sounded like
a young girl) who couldn't understand that I wanted the *recipe*
for the bread, not the bread itself. If anyone gets the recipe
please be sure to enter it here.

2685.7 | squaw bread? | WHEEL::BUNNELL | | Thu May 14 1992 15:43 | 4 |
| Its really similar to the 'squaw bread' recipe in the DAK bread-maker
catalog book. I think its in here too.
I made the squaw bread last night and I thought it tasted like the
Hannah Jack bread.
