| I don't have a recipe, but I would think this would be fairly easy to
make... Combine peanut butter with confectioner's (powdered) sugar, a
tsp of vanilla and a few drops of water, until the consistency is
right.
Sound okay??

2521.2 | p-nut butter frosting | FORTSC::WILDE | Ask yourself..am I a happy cow? | Wed Jul 18 1990 14:06 | 8 |
| Mix 1 cup p-nut butter w 1 stick softened butter. Stir in confectioners
sugar (powdered sugar) to desired spreading consistency. If it gets
to stiff, stir in a few DROPS of milk or water to desired consistency.
Frost cake. Keep cake chilled, move to room temp 20 minutes prior to serving.
Left over frosting can be stiffened up with more powdered sugar, formed
into small balls, rolled in finely chopped nuts or powdered sugar and
they make nice sweet tidbits for after dinner with coffee..

| Mix PB (either chunky or creamy) with vanilla frosting. You'll be able
to see the consistancy and decide how much PB to add.
I make this for my Mom every year for her birthday!

2521.4 | peanut butter sauce | COLBIN::WHITMAN | Acid Rain Burns my Bass | Fri Dec 21 1990 14:29 | 11 |
| We recently moved from Ma. to the San Francisco area. My wife is
very partial to the Reese's Pieces Sundae offered by the Friendly Ice Cream
Store. Out here there are no Friendly Ice Cream parlors. What I'm looking
for is suggestions on how to make the peanut butter sauce.
I've tried mixing creamy peanut butter with corn syrup until I got the
consistency I was looking for, but the strong peanut butter flavor was lost.
It just wasn't the same. Is there a peanut butter extract or something I could
add to enhance the flavor? Any other suggestions???

2521.5 | just heat the pb | AKOCOA::SCHOFIELD | | Thu Dec 27 1990 11:13 | 6 |
| Why don't you just heat the Peanut Butter until its pourable? I
wouldn't imagine you'd have to heat it long. Maybe nuke it for a
minute, stir, and nuke again. Then pour it over the ice cream, drop
some Reese Pieces on top and away you go!

| If you're in the Piedmont area, there's a *wonderful* ice cream parlor
that may have what you're looking for. I can't for the life of me
remember the name. It's a family run operation and well known in the
area. (Piedmont is between Oakland and Berkeley.)
If you're in S.F., the Toy Boat Cafe on 5th and Clement used to serve
wonderful ice cream. Don't know if they're still in business though.
Enjoy,
