    Here is another recipe for basic muffins, that has no "sugar" in it, if
    you can have honey or molasses.  Also, no cholesterol:
    
    Basic Muffins (makes about 12)
    
    2 1/4 cups oat bran cereal
    1/4 c chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans or peanuts)
    1/4 cup raisins (or dates or whatever other dried fruit you choose)
    1 tbsp baking powder
    1/4 c honey or molasses
    1 1/4 c skim milk or evaporated skim milk
    2 egg whites or egg substitute for two eggs
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    
    Preheat oven to 425 F.  In a large bowl, combine cereal, nuts, fruit
    and baking powder.  Stir in honey/molasses.  Mix in the milk, egg and
    oil and blend until smooth.  Put in lined muffin pans and bake 15 to 17
    minutes.  Store in plastic bag to retain moisture. If not consumed
    within three days, store in refrigerator.
