SPICED BEEF BRISKET
4 - 5 Lbs. fresh beef brisket
2 Cup of water
1 Pkg. dried onion soup mix (1 1/2 oz.)
1/4 Cup Catsup
2 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Tsp. cinnamon
1/2 Tsp. minced garlic
1/4 Tsp. fresh black pepper
1/4 Cup water
4 Tbls. all-purpose flour
Place the beef in a 3-4 quart slow cooker.
Combine 2 cups of water with the soup mix
catsup. Worcestershire sauce, cinnamon, garlic
and pepper.
Pour mixture over the meat.
Cover and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hrs.
Remove the beef, keep warm.
Pour juices into a glass measuring cup and
skim off the fat.
For Gravy:
Stir 1/4 cup of water into the flour.
Stir in 3/4 cup of meat juices.
Cook and stir until bubbly.
Cook 1 min longer.
Slice the meat across the grain, serve with gravy
vegtables.
