Sauce for a Turkie

2 large onions, peeles & sliced
1 cup water
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp salt
4 Tbl turkey drippings
1 cup plain or herb seasoned stuffing
2 Tbl malt vinegar
4 tsp light brown sugar
Take faire water and set it over the fire, then slice goo store
of Onions and put into it, and also Pepper ans Salt, and good store
of the gravy that comes from the Turkie, and boyle them very well
together: then put to it a few fine crummes of grated bread to thicken
it; a very little Sugar and some Vinegasr, and so serve it up with
the Turkie...
