Does anyone have a recipe for corndogs? I just can't imagine
how you get the cornbread stuff to stick to the hotdog.

Look for a Boston Globe Food Section, dated October 12th '88
I'm sure that's where I saw a recipe for corndogs...you might try
your local library for a copy.

CORN DOGS
1 lb. hot dogs 7/8 c. milk
1 1/8 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. corn meal 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. sugar 1 egg
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until fine.
Combine egg and milk; add to dry mixture and stir until well blended.
Roll hot dogs in batter and drop into deep oil, 360 degrees until
well browned.
Like I said before, I've never actually tried this recipe. I think
its the first I've ever seen that actually measures things down
to 1/8s of a cup!!!
Let me know how they turn out!
