1338.0. "Conventional to Microwave Conversion" by CIVIC::WEBER () Thu Aug 18 1988 18:02

    Is it possible to translate instructions for cupcakes in a conventional
    oven to a microwave? If so how would I do it.

    I've used a regular cake mix following the instructions for mixing
    and then baked them for about 4 minutes on med. high/high. You
    have to watch them very closely as they cook very quickly. I have
    a couple of micro cupcake pans that hold 6 cupcakes each (you can
    should cook no more than 6 at a time) so I can get one batch ready
    while the other is cooking, I use paper liners also, so clean up
    is minimal. If you have microwave pans, the pamphlets that come
    with then usually have tips/recipes for cakes and cupcakes.

    Another tip if you're in a hurry. If you're using a mix and hate
    standing there holding the portable mixer, put all the ingredients
    in your food processor and mix for about 10 seconds. Works great
    and all the spatters stay inside the bowl.
