1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
2 tsp sugar

Or omit sugar and add couple tablespoons crushed rasberrries

| To make a pitcher of lime rickeys put a quart of cream soda and
a tray or two of ice cubes in a pitcher. Pour the soda in carefully
so as to not let all the fizz out. Cut three or four fresh limes
in half, squeeze the juice into the pitcher and add the rinds as
well. If you want, add rasberry syrup to taste.

| Boy, I can remember getting them years ago.....In Lawrence, Morins
used to serve great ones....alas, I think there out of business...
But, I can recall trying to make them at home....
Start with some club soda.......add juice from 1/3 lime....drop
in the lime, add 1 teaspoon confectionary sugar....mix...add
ice.....
I think that will give you something close to the original...

| I read this note yesterday and last night a friend came to see me
with the fixin's for, you guessed it Lime Rickey's. She used fresh
lime juice, club soda and frozen raspberries. It was very refreshing.

| According to the Old Mr. Boston bartender's guide a ricky is
" a cross between a collins and a sour-may contain any liquor but
always contains lime juice, lime rind, and carbonated soda of some
flavor."
They list about 15 different drinks with different spirits
and fruits or liquors but all do have lime and carbonated soda.
