| There is a store in Concord Mass called Spice and Grain, which has
a lot of spices, whole and ground. It is on Thoreau Street, across
from the train depot.

| There's an Indian food store in Lamplighter Square in Nashua. It's
across the street from the Pheasant Lane Mall. You'll find just
about any spice you can imagine there, both in whole and ground
forms. If you can't identify what's in the package (some are not
marked), just ask the woman who runs the store. She's a real
pleasure to talk with.
This store also carries all the dried peas and beans you can think
of, and various Indian flours including the bean flours. Since
the proprietor is vegetarian, she carries all the sorts of things
she would need for her diet. There's a good selection of canned
goods from India, and a smaller selection of canned and dried
goods for other sorts of oriental foods. The prices are very
reasonable.

On Route 9 West in Westboro/Marlboro there is a natural food store
in a little mall that also houses Nevada Bob's Golf store. (directly
across the highway from Caldors) I was there yesterday - they carry
whole nutmeg.

| Some Saturday or Sunday when the sun is warm take yourself to Mason,
NH to Pickity Place. They specialize is herbs and spices (this
is where I buy whole nutmeg plus a little nutmeg grater.) The house,
that is attached to the little store, was used in the story of Little
Red Riding Hood....no kidding....it's really grandmothers house.
Tuesday thru Saturday they serve a wonderful luncheon ....you must
make a reservation well in advance. If anyone is truly interested
in going I'm get out my handy dandy map and give you directions.
