This is a hot h'ours d'euvres (sp?) recipe.  I make them the night 
before to cut down on last minute things.

BACON AND MUSHROOM ROLL-UPS

4 slices bacon
1/2 lb mushrooms
1 med onion
1  3 oz package cream cheese
1/8 tsp pepper
12 slices white bread
1/4 C melted margerine

Either chop really small or I use the food processor.  Process the onion,
bacon, and mushrooms until tiny, tiny, pieces - very wet.  add pepper.

pour into skillet and simmer 5 - 8 minutes.  Add cream cheese and blend well.


trim bread and flatten each piece with a rolling pin.  spoon mixture onto 
each piece, spread around, and roll like jelly roll.

arrange in a baking pan.  brush tops with butter, bake 375 10 - 15 minutes or 
until brown.  

Can be made night before, but must be made at least 1 hour before cooking.
Can be frozen, but should take out 40 min before cooking.
