Here's one made with no sugar. Enjoy!

    BANANA BREAD
    ------------
1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup milk powder (1/3 cup instant)
2/3 cup honey 1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten 2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup mashed banana pulp 1 tsp. baking soda
(about 3 small bananas) 2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup water walnuts and raisins (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla

    1) Cream the butter and honey until light; beat in the eggs,
       banana pulp, water and vanilla.
    2) Stir together the dry ingredients; stir them into the first
mixture, blending until just combined & moistened.
    3) Stir in 1 cup walnuts and 1/2 to 1 cup raisins, if desired.
    4) Turn the batter into an oiled loaf pan; bake at 325 degrees
for about 1 hour, until well browned and a tester comes out
       clean.

This is great with cream cheese. The recipe says it can also be
toasted for breakfast, though I've never tried it.

708.2Low fat banana pound breadAKOCOA::SCHOFIELDMon Jan 21 1991 15:4231
As far as healthy goes, this recipe has little to no fat in it. I'll
admit, it's a little heavy, but if you toast a slice and put some jam
    on it.... it's great!

    Makes 2 loaves

    3 ripe bananas
    1/2 C sugar
    1 1/4 C applesauce
    2 TBSP dry milk powder
    2 TBSP grated orange peel
    4 C flour
    4 TSP Baking Powder
    1/2 TSP Bkg Soda
    1/2 TSP Cinnamon
    1/8 TSP Nutmeg
    1/4 - 1/2 C Apple juice
    2 Egg whites

In Lg bowl, combine flour, powder, soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In Med bowl, mash banana's, add dry milk, applesauce and mix well.
In Small bowl, mix egg whites, sugar and orange peel together.
Alternately mix banana's and eggs into dry mixture. Blend all well.
Add enough juice to moisten batter properly (will probably use at least
    1/4 cup).
Pour into 2 Pam'ed loaf pans (or could use muffin tins). Bake at 350
for 50 ish minutes. Let cool 10 min in pan, then pop out.
Each loaf is less than 5% fat. Remember: toast it and put jelly/jam on
    top.

Does anyone have a no-cholesterol and low-fat recipe? I presume that
-.1 has low cholesterol by looking at the ingredients, but I just want
    to be sure.

    Thanks!

708.4Whole Wheat Banana BreadAKOCOA::GMURRAYThu Jan 12 1995 09:3228
This is from Fast and Healthy magazine. I've made it twice and it's very good.

	Whole Wheat Banana Bread

	1 cup sugar
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 cup (2 medium) mashed ripe banas
	1/3 cup water
1/2 cup frozen fat-free egg product, thawed or 2 eggs slightly beaten
	1 cup all purpose flour
	1 cup whole wheat flour
	1 teaspoon baking soda
	1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom only of 9x5 or 8x4-inch loaf pan. In
large bowl, comine sugar and margarine; beat well. Add bananas, water
and egg product; mix well. In medium bowl combine all purpose flour,
whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add dry ingredients
gradually to banana mixture, mixing until well combined. Pour batter
	into greased pan.

Bake at 350 for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center
comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely
before slicing. Wrap tightly and store in refrigerator.

Makes 1 (16-slice)loaf and each slice = 150 calories and 4 grams of fat
