156.0. "BEVERAGES: Cooling Fruit Drink" by CLOVAX::SCHWARTZ () Sun Jul 28 1985 14:52
On these hot summer days, a cool drink is really refreshing. We learned
about this one from a commercial on TV, of all places... but it's still
great!
1 cup of fruit
1/2 cup vanilla (or plain) yogurt
1 TBL. honey
1 cup crushed ice
Place the fruit in a blender and blend till liquefied. Add the honey and
the yogurt, blend till mixed. Add the crushed ice and blend. Then enjoy!
(we've tried this with strawberries, and blueberries, but we're planning
to try other fruit as it becomes available.) If you use the plain yogurt,
you might want 2 TBL honey. And the crushed ice amount is not that critical.
Serves 2 (or a really thirsty 1).

| To make a pitcher of rasberry lime rickeys:
Squeeze 4 cut limes into a pitcher.
Pour in about a half a cup of raspberry syrup (available at
gourmet food stores)
Add a couple of trays of ice cubes.
Carefully (so as not to break all the bubbles) pour in a quart
of clear cream soda.
It's better than Brigham's.

| Has anyone out there tried this one....
Put 1 can of the Bacardi Peach Daquari (ex. spelling) and a half
a can of the Rasberry Daquari mix in a blender. Fill with ice and
blend.
I call it a Peach Melba Daquari - My 7 year old loves them. Sometimes
I even add a can of rum - only if no kids are around. Watch out
though - they are lethal with the rum added.
