This note is similar to 39.0 and there are recipes (like chicken marsala) that apply, but I thought I'd start a new one here. I am entertaining people on Friday evening. This means I am limited to preparation time. I have a crock pot but am not really in the mood for crock pot type food. Does anyone have recipes for a quick but acceptable-for-company dish? Denise

Check out the book "QUICK COOK" by Martha Stewart (who also wrote ENTERTAINING). The receipes are quick, easy, and look elegant. If your local library has it photocopy what you like. jb | |||||

Also check out Pierre Franey's "60-Minute Gourmet". Many, many simple, elegant and delicious recipes. Another cookbook that has many recipes that can be prepared quickly is "The Silver Palate Cookbook". andrew |
