| Normally you would look to the 5-card suit as a source of tricks.
But LHO bid the darn suit. Moreover, you are void in partner's
5-card suit. On the positive side, your highcard points are high
quality and near max for your bidding. Also, your partner's points
are well-placed behind a 3rd seat opener. I'd be inclined to bid
3NT against weak opponents but pass against strong defenders.

| If partner has AQxxx-Kx-Axx-Axx, we'd be hard pressed to make 3N. Yet
give him H-KT and 3N is laydown
Let's try AQJxx-T-AJx-QJxx. That's a pretty thin invite, but you should
be able to pull it off. HT is a BIG card. Without it, you're going to
have trouble taking any heart tricks.
I hate this hand - I'm close to a max (a little more could have bid 2N),
yet I'm all wrong on shape. (I chose pass instead of 1N earlier). If
there are finesses to take (Other than spades), they are likely to be on.
Partner didn't rebid spades, and didn't bid a new suit. Maybe he has heart
help after all, in which case 3N has some pretty good chances. Somebody
twist my arm...

| Aha! This hand again. Glad I re-answered the previous question
about this before finding this one: Now I'm _really_ glad I decided
to bid 1NT!
I take the invitation. It's Imps and we're red, and partner probably has
a Heart card for me. The only thing I'm worried about is a double for
a spade lead, if pard has too much stuff outside of spades...
