| He would not survive North of the Border. The ref would send him off
every game for acting like a diving wussie!!!

| I don't wish to be pedantic but wouldn't Vialli upset some of the
Rangers faithful whenever he crosses himself?...or is it no longer
considered to be an incitement to riot?...and I'm being completely
serious here....

| Stretch,
Rod McDonald was booked during half-time for crossing himself during
the Partick-Rangers match. He was subsequently sent off for a second
bookable (sic) offense....

| Ray,
I think a combination of a) Sh*te refs and b) certain "fans" who
seem more concerned about religion instead of the fitba, could cause
probs for the man. But I still think he would not be able to hack it up
there!!

549.8 | Vialli is innocent | ZUR01::ASH | Grahame Ash @RLE | Wed Apr 10 1996 16:34 | 11 |
| Stretch,
You're wrong about Vialli diving - I saw him last week against Nantes and was
impressed at how he always tried to keep his feet when 'challenged'. He's
certainly not the typical 'nose to the ground whever a defender comes near'
striker.
(I can't believe we've written this much stuff in such a pointless note - I
agree he won't go either!)
