    Here are the final scores of semi-finals.
    
    Gremio 2 Emelec 0		Gremio advances with 2-0 aggr. score
    
    River Plate 1 Atl. Nacional 0	Nacional advances with 1-1 aggr.
    					score and winning the penalty
    					shootout 8-7.
    
    Higuita scores the first penalty shot and makes the only save in the
    penalty shootout (He came close of making 3 other saves).  Higuita also
    made some great saves  during the game to keep Nacional in the game.
    
    Referee definetely lost control toward the end of the game and it was
    getting ugly.  Each team got a player send-off.

    I saw the 2nd half and the penalties - higuita looked a bit dodgy on
    the only 'real' goal

What an exciting match to watch...!  An absolute war.

And you know what was extra special for a Mass., USA, fan?  Catching
glimpses of two sign boards with the name "Digital PC" shown throughout the
game.

    That's correct, tonight Univision will show the other semi-final game
    that was play yesterday. However, its a "compress" format.  Uh?
    
    They will not show the FULL game, they will show the best of
    the 90 minutes into 60 minutes.
    
    As to Gremio, I have not seen them play. The first round and 2nd round,
    they just about blew teams away.  When it came to the 1/4 finals, they
    blew Palmerias away in the first game but then they got blown away by
    Palmerais in the 2nd game.
    
    From the higlights of the 1st game between Gremio v Emelec, it seemed
    that Gremio got lucky coming out with a tie.  Tonight, it will show how
    Gremio is playing.
    
    I have no clue if any games of the FINALs will be shown on TV.  If I hear
    anything, I will gladly post it.
    
    
    BTW, in case I have not mention this before, the teams that will
    represent Colombia in next year's Copa Libertadore will be:
    
    		Junior de Barranquilla (Champion)
    		America de Cali (Runner-up)

    UNIVISION will be showing the second leg of the Copa Libertadores FINAL
    between Gremio (Brazil) and Atl Nacional (Colombia) this Wednesday,
    Live at 9:30pm.  Game will be played in Medellin, Colombia.
    
    Gremio won the first leg 3-1 and it seems that they will probably win
    the cup as Nacional is going to have a hard time winning by 2 goals.
    The interesting thing is that last time Nacional won the cup, they were
    in the same situation.  They had lost by 2 goals in the first leg to
    Olympia (Paraguay) in Paraguay and then Nacional came back to Colombia
    and won the second leg and won the cup. Would history repeat again?
