    re. Arnold Sidebottom

I remember Sidebottom used to double as a cricketer for Yorkshire (I
guess "Sidebottom" is one of those classic Yorkshire surnames, like
    "Leggett" or "Blenkinsop"...).

In fact, I recall going to see a John Player League match between
Sussex and Yorkshire about 20 years ago (back in the days of Chris Old
and Imran Khan) and A. Sidebottom was called on to bowl. A mate of
mine who was a total anorak (amongst other things) used to keep a
scorebook, only on this occasion he couldn't fit the name "Arnold
Sidebottom" in the space provided...so he promptly abbreviated it to
    "Arnold Sidebum" ;-)

I bet he had a hard time when United played away from home too...

I can remember that in the last World Cup, John "Mottie" Motson and
Trevor "5 O Levels" Brooking, had an awful time struggling to pronounce
the German forward Stefan Kuntz's name. I know that at one stage, Trev
just said, "Hmm, I think I'll let you talk about this substitution
    John !!".

Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear...
